TOOL 05 UNIX TIME
CONVERT / TIME REPRESENTATIONS
Make the timestamp readable.
Enter a Unix timestamp to see its UTC instant and your browser’s local rendering, or convert a local date and time back to a timestamp.
SECONDS OR MILLISECONDS
Unix timestamps commonly appear in seconds in logs and APIs, while JavaScript Date values use milliseconds. A value that looks about 1,000 times larger than expected may use the other unit. Browser Date output has millisecond precision; smaller fractional parts are discarded.
INSTANT OR LOCAL CLOCK?
A timestamp identifies an instant. A local date-time such as “9:00” needs a timezone before it identifies one. This reverse converter uses the timezone configured on your device; it does not ask a server to infer your location.
